The summer heat has finally hit, creating new moves for Canadian rock band Skyjumper. Band manager Ty D'Angelo has been hard at work setting up meetings with people in Toronto, Canada to get the ball rolling again.
"I must say, I've been pretty busy the last little while," chuckles D'Angelo from his cell phone. "It seems like forever that Shane and the boys have had their "down time" regrouping, but I'm very excited for them that things are moving forward again ~ and great timing too."
The band manager referring to singer/guitarist Shane Horizon as "A strong leader and player, and night and day now that he's healthier."
The curly~haired frontman has been facing his issues with alcohol and drug addiction for almost a year now, and has made great strides in his recovery.
Reached finally online, Horizon was quoted as saying "Rehab is the only way to go in staying sober for me," and that his life has improved ten~fold since finishing the residence program in February '10.
"I was a real f**king mess the last eight years," he says on the social site Facebook. "I was spinning my wheels every day, and couldn't see the Sun shining from the clouds. But now, I've moved away from that darkness, and I feel f**king awesome in my "new skin", and I'm now moving forward in a positive direction. I'd really love to get back into the studio soon, and flush out some new sh*t I've been working on..... hopefully that happens soon.... I'm just biting at the bit right now."
Well, sounds like Shane Horizon is back to his "old self", and this writer hopes it stays like that. I have truly missed him, and very proud of the kid for making the strides he has thus far. To The Top, kid.
