Deep Rock 'N Roll Thoughts

"We humans are the only animals on this planet who continuously search for the answers to the basic questions of life as we know it," quips singer/guitarist Shane Horizon. "I used to dabble with these 'heavy' thoughts when I was drunk and using drugs, and now that I'm clean and sober I still think of these things occasionally." He seems to be chuckling on his cell phone while he says this to this author. "I would wonder if trees could be felt being cut down, or if mosquitoes could taste my blood, and I would later blame those thoughts on my drug abuse. I don't think I can blame them on anything anymore."
Well, it seems to be a good thing for the boys of Skyjumper that the frontman and guitarist has seen 'the light' and has found some help. "I would stay up all night drinking beer and smoking pot until sunrise, and wake up, skip the morning coffee, and start drinking beer and getting stoned. I would drink and smoke pot while I was in the shower! I look back at those days and think 'How did I not fall in the tub and break my goddamn neck' is a miracle to me! There must be some higher power that held me up, I suppose."
As he works on his personal matters, the boys of Skyjumper are also putting some fresh new music together for the coming future. Writing and flushing out the material seems to be an excellent outlet during these tough times. Be certain the tunes will have some impact when they are completed.
